English 12A: Today our focus was on four questions regarding Part III of Life of Pi: Which is the better story (or, which story do you believe)? Which is the better story? What is the theme of Life of Pi? And, what is Yann Martel (or Pi Patel, for that matter), trying to say about stories? The annotated copies of your book are due Monday.
English 12B: Aside from doing another entry in the Hero Catch-Phrase Project and focusing on more misused words in The Elements of Style, we focused on what we called "Ways Poems," which take their name from Wallace Stevens's "Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird." This is one of the poetic genres I am encouraging you to try in your genre response section of your Capstone Project.
