English 9A: Today we watched the first little bit of the film version of To Kill a Mockingbird. Read for 20 minutes tonight.

English 9B: Today in period 2 we read 4.1 in Romeo and Juliet; period 3 we will do this tomorrow, as we had too few students to move ahead in the text.

English 12B: Today we as our last in class work day for the Capstone Project - be ready to roll tomorrow in class!

Thursday, February 13

English 9A:  Today we finished everything through Chapter 29 and read Chapter 1 of How to Read Literature Like a Professor and discussed the journey, or quest, motif. Read for 20 minutes tonight.

English 9B: Today we wrote about what Romeo and Juliet teaches us about life and the human experience. Read for 20 minutes tonight.

English 12B: Today we discussed two-voice poems and rap battles; write one for your project. The whole thing is due next Tuesday.

English 9A: Finish everything through Chapter 27 in To Kill a Mockingbird tonight.

English 9B: Today we continued to work at citing sources. Period 2, complete your essay; Period 3, be ready to begin yours tomorrow.
